Steens to celebrate 50th anniversary Kenneth and Shirley Steen, 1870E 100N, Washington, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday. Kenneth R. Steen, son of Alma Steen and the late Aubrey Steen, and Shirley F. Newton, daughter of the late Cecil and Irene Newton, were united in marriage on June 22, 1958, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Washington, with Rev. Robert P. Hawkins officiating. Their attendants were Wilma (Newton) Power, sister of the bride, and Leon Petty, brother-in-law of the bride. A family celebration will be held at the Canyon Inn at McCormick’s Creek National Park.
