Lawyers celebrate 50th anniversary

---- — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lawyer

Charles E. and Linda (Roach) Lawyer will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 27 with a reception from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Celebrations, located at Tanger Outlet, 357 Tanger Blvd., Seymour, on US 50E.

The couple were married Nov. 3, 1963, at the Washington Free Methodist Church by Rev. Charles Chestnut.

They are the parents of four children, Glenn (Cindy) Lawyer, Kim (James) Schneider, Darrin (Gail) Lawyer, and Deanna Lawyer and fiance Dill Whittymore; six grandchildren and two foreign exchange students.

Linda is retired from Jackson County Human Services as county director and Charles is retired from Cummins Engine Company and is owner of Lawyer Farms in Seymour. The couple are active members of the Church of the Nazarene. Charlie and Linda are 1961 graduates of Washington High School.

Parents of the couple are the late Albert Sr. and Mary Lawyer and the late Gilbert and Garnetta Roach.
