An Evansville man wanted in connection to a stabbing was arrested by Washington police on Monday.
According to a release from the city, Edward Jerome Ivy, 34, was arrested at a home north of Washington at around 3:55 p.m. The Daviess County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police also assisted in the arrest. The release said city police received information Ivy was staying at a rental at 1153W 150N, where he was eventually found.
Ivy was then immediately taken to Vanderburgh County where he is facing preliminary charges of attempted murder with a knife and intimidation with a weapon. He is being held without bond.
The Evansville Courier and Press reports Ivy is one of two accused of a stabbing attack on North Harlan Avenue on Oct. 28. It is alleged that Ivy pointed a gun at a resident during the attack while a second man allegedly stabbed Jerald Clark Jr. multiple times.
The newspaper reported later Tuesday the second suspect, Antoine M. Russell, was arrested in Indianapolis last week.
