Area family child care providers attend child care business course



The Professional Child Care Association of Southwestern Indiana, Inc.; Robert Gregory, founder and director of Advance Manufacturing Productivity Center; and Charles Selby, executive director of Daviess County Chamber of Commerce, provided the opportunity for area business people to participate in the First Step/Fast Trac Family Child Care Business Curriculum study course.

The course was funded and facilitated by 4C of Southern Indiana, Inc. The nine-month course is designed for child care business owners to develop sound business practices. After completion of the course, participants are eligible for 4.5 CEUs from the University of Southern Indiana. The class has an enrollment of 25 child care business owners.

Area providers are Wanda Bigham, Tammy DeBoeuf and Sandra Pinnick, all of Knox County; Kathy Lingenfelter of Martin County; Sandy McBeth of Pike County; Selma Lange of Dubois County; Lisa Wilson of Perry County; and Patty Hill and Diana Skomp, both of Daviess County.
