There will be a 10-ton load limit on Daviess County roads beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday until further notice. For more information, contact the Daviess County Highway Department at 444-5798.

Washington board to meet

Washington community school board will meet in executive session at 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss a job performance evaluation. The regular session will be at 7 p.m. Items included on the agenda: United Way; curriculum update; appointments; trips; weather related make-up schedule.

Adopt-a-thorn at Orschlen

Friends For Animals will sponsor an “adopt-a-thon” at Orschlen’s, 120 Cherry Tree Plaza, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Several types of dogs are up for adoption as well as cats.

Ark of Safety to host Schrecengost

Feed my Sheep reschedules

Due to the cancellation of food distribution on Feb. 15, Feed My Sheep has rescheduled the giveaway from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Feed My Sheep is located at 601 W. Oak St.

Loogootee school board will meet in executive session at 4:45 p.m. Monday to discuss personnel matters.

WHS hosting Saturday Science

The Washington High School Science Club is hosting a Saturday Science for grades three, four and five on March 1 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Registration forms have been sent home with students and also may be picked up at the WHS office.
