Voter deadlines coming up
Anyone wishing to register to vote for the first time, transfer an address, or make a name change for the May 6 primary election may do so in the Circuit Court Clerk’s office until 4 p.m. April 7. Persons may also register or make the above changes at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles as they renew their driver’s license.
You are reminded that a photo ID card such as an Indiana driver’s license, U.S. passport, or other photo ID card issued by the state of Indiana or the U.S. government is required at registration.
The clerk’s office is located on the top floor of the courthouse and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Voters must be 18 years old by the Nov. 4, 2014, general election to qualify as a voter in the primary election. If you have any questions regarding voter registration, call the voter registration office at 254-8679.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Department will initiate a major enforcement effort to crack down on impaired and dangerous driving that will last through March 23.
