Davis - Hillyard to be engaged

Davis - Hillyard

Mike and Cindy Davis of Washington announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amie Elizabeth Davis to John Alan Hillyard. Amie is the granddaughter of Linus and Bernetta Buchheit of Washington and the late John and Dorothy Davis. John is the son of Brent Hillyard of Evansville, and Jeanne and Tony Franklin of Poseyville. John’s grandparents are Jim Barrow Sr. of Evansville and the late Dorris Barrow, and Don and Donna Hillyard of Evansville.

Amie is a graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She obtained a master’s degree in the family nurse practitioner program from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2013. She is employed as a family nurse practitioner at Tristate Orthopaedics in Evansville. John is a graduate of North Posey High School. He obtained an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Ivy Tech Community College in 2011. He is currently employed as a thermoforming processing technician at Berry Plastics in Evansville.

The wedding will be held Dec. 28 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Evansville, with a reception to follow at the Old Post Office Event Center. Invitations have been sent, but all family and friends are welcome.
