Arts, Flower Club hold Dec. meeting

---- — The December meeting of the Arts and Flowers Garden Club was held Dec. 12 at the home of Vicki Bubalo. President Linda Myers called the meeting to order. She thanked the hostesses Jennie Richardson, Becky Kremp, Janet Goodwin, Flo Cavanaugh, Pat Thompson, Bev Summers, Linda Free, Helen Dashnaw, and Vicki Bubalo. Secretary Barb Fyffe called the roll. Janet Goodwin gave the treasurer’s report.

The downtown trees are decorated and Barb Fyffe thanked those who helped decorate and said the city utility workers did a great job in getting the trees setup.

President Myers reported that the holiday centerpieces made at the November meeting were delivered to The Legends for the residents there. She thanked Judi Hill for chairing that project.

Outgoing President Linda Myers thanked the group for all their support during her tenure. Flo Cavanaugh spoke for the members of the club and thanked Myers for her service and the service of the other club officers for the past two years.

Officers for the upcoming year are Linda Cornelius, president; Sheila O’Maley, vice president; Julie Lancaster, treasurer; and Barb Fyffe, secretary.

Special entertainment for the meeting was provided by the “Courthouse Choir” directed by Vicki Bubalo.

Also attending the meeting were Joan Buchanan, Sue Colbert, Linda Cornelius, Sue Garrett, Diana Gill, Sue Harper, Kathleen Harris, Judi Hill, Julie Lancaster, Fran Neal, Dorothy Pegler, Jan Smith, Nyla Wachter, Jan Wake, Jan Wininger, and Vicki Wright.

The next meeting of the Arts and Flowers Garden Club will be March 13, 2014.
