Right to Life pick up

The Daviess County Right To Life will hold its bimonthly newspaper/aluminum can drive Saturday at the Old K-Mart parking lot in Washington from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drives are held the first Saturday of every other month (February, April, June, August, October, December).

Other pick up points open from 9 a.m. to Noon — Montgomery: St. Peters School, Cannelburg: Ray Truelove’s Residence, Plainville: Mallett’s Service Station, Odon: United Methodist Church (place newspapers in shelter house behind church), Elnora: Elnora Christian Church, Loogootee: Martin County Recycling Center

Flu shots for children

Daviess County Health Department will offer flu shots and immunizations for children younger than 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dr. Holsopple’s office; from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 21 at Country Health Clinic on Cannelburg Road; and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 25 at Odon Community Building. Insurance will be accepted. Children who have no health insurance or if insurance does not cover vaccines may still obtain the vaccines at the health department. Immunizations are done daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the health department. Call 254-8666 to schedule an appointment.

Monday — Prairie Village biscuits and gravy, 8:30 a.m.; bingo, 10 a.m.; AirEvac program, 9 a.m.

Tuesday — Let’s make Valentines for children and seniors in hospitals and nursing homes, 9:30 a.m.

Wednesday — Let’s Make a Deal, 9:30 a.m. Come dressed in costume and with something to trade.

Thursday — Bible study, 10 a.m.; Crochet Club, 1 p.m.

Friday — WVEC bingo, 10 a.m.

Free tax service at Senior and Family Services. The free tax service is limited to a $50,000 income level.
