County planning commission to meet

The Daviess County advisory planning commission will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse.

Odon Library board to meet

The Odon Winklepleck Public Library board will meet at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 13 at the library.

Women’s Connection meeting set

The Vincennes Area Women’s Connection will meet at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 11 at the McCormick Pavilion, 1548 S. Hart St., Vincennes. Price is $11. For reservations, call Kay at 618-943-2198 or Sondra at 882-1978.

Barr-Reeve School Board meets Monday

Barr-Reeve school board will meet in executive session at 7 p.m. Monday. The open session will be at 8 p.m. Items on the agenda include: treasurer appointments; school calendar; kindergarten round-up report.

Red Cross blood drives announced

The Daviess County Chapter of the American Red Cross is sponsoring the following blood drives in February. They include:

Thursday — Berea Mennonite Church, 216. S. Main St., Cannelburg, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Feb. 14 — First Mennonite Church, 8002E 550N, Montgomery, 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 18 — New Hope Christian Church, 559E 100S, Washington, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Feb. 27 — Free Methodist Church, 1155 Troy Road, Washington, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health, and cannot have given blood in the past 56 days. The Red Cross is especially low on Type O+ and O-, but all types are desperately needed.
