Church time changed

Alfordsville Christian Church Sunday evening service has been changed to 7:15 p.m.

Library program postponed

The Washington Carnegie Public Library program on Syon House scheduled for Monday will be postponed until Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. due to the forecast of extreme cold and snow.

Lunch and Learn program set

A free Lunch and Learn event open to all women and hosted by the Daviess County Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle is set for Jan. 10 in Washington.

“Healthful Cooking for a Few” will be the topic and a free lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Lunch and Learn event will be held in the Education Center at Daviess Community Hospital located,1314 E. Walnut St., Washington.

Jennifer Stefancik, Extension Educator, Health and Human Services, and Chris Clark, Family Nutrition Program Assistant, from Purdue Extension Daviess County are the featured speakers. They will discuss and demonstrate nutritious and appetizing methods for meal preparation and service for one or two. The information will include everything from purchasing food in small quantities to preparing meals.
