Rural Water to start flushing

Daviess County Rural Water Systems will continue its spring flushing for all customers. Low water pressure may be experienced while flushing in customers’ area. After flushing customers may have discolored water for a short time. For further information or questions, call 812-254-4526.

Relay vendor fair on Saturday

There will be a Relay For Life vendor fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Martin County Civil Defense building on US 50. Numerous vendors will be there and hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, baked goods and drinks will be available to buy. Ringwald Rangers Relay For Life Team is the sponsor.

Veale Creek Players ‘Class Reunion’

Veale Creek Players will present “Class Reunion,” a mystery dinner theater, on April 2, 3, 4 and 5. Tickets are on sale at Hibbett Sports and are $30 single, $50 couple. The dinner and play will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Only 32 seats are available per night.

New B-R discount cards available

New Barr-Reeve High School discount cards are out now for $8 each. Old cards expire on March 31. There are 21 discounts and deals from local area businesses on the new cards.

Businesses from Montgomery are Fat Boys Pizza and Ice Cream, Knepp’s Restaurant, Gasthof Restaurant, The Viking Mart, Stop N Sea, and The Game Plan. Loogootee businesses on the card are Rosie’s Store, The Junction Restaurant, and Pizza Junction. Washington businesses included are Ponderosa, Papa John’s, Laurel Lanes, KFC, The New End Zone Sporting Goods, Inc, Amish Kountry Korner, Hunan Garden, Burger King, Arby’s , Gatti’s Pizza, Jimbo’s, and Shoe Sensations.

New cards may be purchased from any Barr-Reeve SADD Club or Renaissance Club member. They may also be purchased in the Barr-Reeve High School office and at some local area businesses such as Knepp’s Restaurant, Old National Bank (Montgomery branch), and Stop N Sea.
