VFW Aux to meet

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the post home, 3 E. Main St. Nominations and election of officers will take place at this meeting. All members should attend. Members who are interested in being nominated for an office but cannot attend the meeting should present a letter indicating the office for which they are interested.

Neat Feet to be SAFS

The Neat Feet Clinic will be held Friday at Senior and Family Services from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.. A registered nurse will trim and file toenails, apply lotion and assess feet for any abnormalities. Appointments must be made by calling 254-8855.

County Council to meet

Daviess County Council will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse. Items included on the agenda: extension summer help salary; changes of date for May meeting; requests for additional appropriations.

Concert at Gospel Center

Brian Free and Assurance will be in concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at Petersburg Gospel Center, 420 E. Illinois St.

Komen Race sponsored bingo

Daviess Community Hospital Susan Komen Race for the Cure team will sponsor bingo Thursday in the Education Center at Daviess Community Hospital. Doors open at 6 p.m., bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. There will be prizes and admission is $10 for one reusable card. Additional cards can be purchased for $2 each. Refreshments will be provided.

Plan Commission to meet

The Daviess County Advisory Plan Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse.

Spring music at B-R

Barr-Reeve elementary grades three, four and five will present its Spring Music Program at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Barr-Reeve High School gym. The public is invited to attend and admission is free.

Odon Library trustees to meet

The Odon Winklepleck Public Library board of trustees will meet at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at the library.
