Cancer support group at DCH

Daviess Community Hospital breast cancer sharing and surviving support group meets from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the hospital.

B-R board meeting Wednesday

Barr-Reeve school board will meet in executive session at 8 p.m. Wednesday to discuss collective bargaining and a job performance evaluation. The regular session will be at 8:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include: field trip requests; coach and cook recommendations.

Gospel sing on Saturday

Southern Indiana Neighbors Gospel Sing concert is Saturday

6 p.m. at the Weselyan Church, 240 N. Green St.,

Wheatland. The featured group is “Resurrection Bound.”

Aldrich to lead praise at UMC

Alford United Methodist Church will hold two nights of refreshing and refilling of God’s Spirit Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. The special speaker will be Pete Aldrich with Roger Lopez leading praise and worship. Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. the special speaker will be Mike Atkins and Sabrina Newton will lead praise and worship.

Hog roast for ‘Napa’ Joe

There will be a benefit hog roast, auction and bluegrass concert Oct. 12 at the Simon J. Graber Complex to help “Napa” Joe and Barbara Chestnut with medical expenses accumulated due to Joe’s lengthy hospital stay. The meal starts at 5 p.m., followed by music at 6 p.m. and the auction from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Knox Library friends to meet

The Friends of Knox County Public Library will host a book sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at Washington Christian Center, 2134 Washington Ave., Vincennes. Proceeds will be used to advance library programs and services.

Oak Grove of Reeve to hold meeting

Oak Grove Cemetery of Reeve Township will hold its annual meeting at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at Oak Grove Church for election of one director. Anyone with burial plots and loved ones are invited to attend.
