---- — Get started on writing your great American novel. Attend the second annual Southern Indiana Writers’ Festival on Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Knox County Public Library, 502 N. Seventh St., Vincennes. Presenters include University of Evansville professor of creative writing and award-winning author, Margaret McMullan; national bestselling author, James Alexander Thom; Vincennes University faculty members, Bernie Schmitt and Matt Groneman and fantasy writer, Howard Andrew Jones. Registration is $30 and includes handouts, light refreshments, and an opportunity to network with a dozen authors and visit the McGrady-Brockman House genealogical/historical research center.
