Right to Life contest deadline is Friday

Daviess County Right To Life has announced that registration for its annual “Face of Life” Baby Contest will end Friday.

To register for the baby contest the child must be between the ages of newborn to 3 years. A photo 3x5 or larger should be submitted along with a completed registration form and a $10 registration fee. All photos submitted should have the name of the child and parents/guardians name and address written or attached to the back of the photo. Photos will be returned and available for pickup at the Pregnancy Care Center, 705 Troy Road. Registration forms and official rules can be printed on line at or picked up at the Pregnancy Care Center. Entries can be mailed to Daviess County Right To Life, P.O. Box. 41, Washington, IN 47501 or dropped off at the Pregnancy Care Center at 705 Troy Road. The contest is open to residents of Daviess, Martin and Pike counties.

Voting will be available online at $1 per vote with a minimum of $5 or by check and drop off at the Pregnancy Care Center. Voting will begin on June 16 and end at 8 p.m. June 30. For additional information, visit the website at or call 812-257-0222 or email at

The contest winner will receive $100 as well as being honored as the Right To Life Baby of the year and the picture will be used in events for the coming year. Also a second prize of $50 to the runner up has been added.

Air Show at West Boggs

On Saturday West Boggs Park will host a remote control air show at the park’s Bittersweet Shelter area. Sponsored by the Tri-County Aerial Club, this popular event will include demonstrations from 10 a.m. to noon. During this time those interested may learn to fly a trainer model. The air show is scheduled for 2 p.m. The event is free to registered campers and available to other park visitors at the regular entry fee of $5 per vehicle.
