---- — The United Methodist Women of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church met at the home of Mary Ann Richardson on June 5. Mary Ann Richardson, vice president, opened the meeting by welcoming all who came and led the group in the purpose of the United Methodist Women.

Ruth Ellen Allison led the devotions with “Integrity” and “All I need to learn I can learn from Noah’s Ark.”

The secretary’s report and the treasurer’s report were read. A report was given on the May Family Night at the Essen House, where 35 attended.

Mary Ann Richardson read a testimony from a teen enrolled in a program at the Evansville Youth Home describing his success in the TASC class which allowed him to take his high school equivalency test. The group decided to donate $100 to the Youth Home.

Cards were signed for Helen Himsel, Jo Park, Jerry Hayden and Terry Barber.

Donna Roberts gave the program on 1 Samuel 7:7-13, “My Ebenezer.”

Due to the July 4 holiday the July meeting will be canceled. There is no meeting in August. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 at the home of Trudy Barber with Pastor Philip Richardson giving the program.

Also attending were Bonnie James, Eleanor Lawyer and Pat Seitz.
