ND Board meeting

North Daviess Community Schools board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Items included on the agenda: board policy additions and revisions; textbook adoption; textbook rental fees; dairy and bakery bids; breakfast and lunch prices.

Civil War Roundtable to meet

“Ironclads in the Civil War” will be the naval topic at the meeting of the Daviess County Civil War Roundtable at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Interested persons are welcome at the meeting at the Daviess County Museum, second floor, 212 E. Main St., Washington.

Loogootee board to meet

Loogootee Community Schools board will meet in executive session at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday. The open session will be at 5:30 p.m.

Park and Rec board to meet Wednesday

Washington Park and Recreation board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. All interested citizens and patrons of any of the three parks, Eastside, Longfellow and South Park, are welcome to attend.

Zoning appeals board to meet

The Daviess County Advisory Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse.

DCH Health screenings

Daviess Community Hospital will offer free health screenings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the hospital lobby. Screenings being offered are cholesterol and glucose screenings (blood sugar) - fasting for 8 hours prior to screening give best results; bone density (heel scans); blood pressure screenings; and BMI (body mass index).
