WHS girls golf meeting Wednesday

There will be a meeting Wednesday at Country Oaks Golf Club at 6:30 p.m. for any girl interested in being on the Washington High School golf team. Call 812-259-0024 for more information.

Washington School Board meets Thursday

The Washington Community School Board will meet Thursday at the corporation office, 301 E. South St., at 7 p.m. Items on the agenda include elementary and secondary fees for the 2014-2015 school year, milk and bread bids, board appointments to the Carnegie Public Library.

Barr-Reeve School Board meets Thursday

The Barr-Reeve Community School Board will meet Thursday at 8 p.m. Items on the agenda include annual financial reports,

Bike Rally Friday and Saturday

A bike rally featuring live music, corn hole tournaments, bike show, swap meet and other vendors will be held Friday and Saturday at the Montgomery Ruritan Club. Doors open at 5 p.m. Friday and admission is $15 for members and $17 for non-members. Participants must be 18 years old to enter. Free primitive camping will be available. Daviess County Redevelopment Commission to meet

The Daviess County Redevelopment Commission will hold a meeting Monday at 8:45 a.m. in the commissioners room at the courthouse.

Former Church members to gather

Saint Mary’s Church (Barr Township) previous parishioners will meet June 28 at the bittersweet shelter house, near the boat dock at West Boggs Park beginning at 11 a.m. Previous members of the church are invited but also friends and extended families. Everyone is asked to bring their own food, drink, and chairs. Memories from the church will be shared. Those planning to attend may also bring photos from church events including church camp.
