Hydrant flushing

Friday — Flush Sugarland Road from N.E. 21st Street to the airport. Also being flushed will be Morningside Drive, Terrace Park Drive, Bedford Road from N.E. 21st Street to end of line at Graber Construction. Also included are Parkdale, Wagner Avenue, Vista Lane and Brett Cabel Road from N.E. 12th Street to Sugarland Road. Also affected will be Douglas Drive and Sugarland Estates, Bean Drive, Todd Drive, Briarwood Drive, Crestwood Drive and SR 57N to end of line. Also included is Bedford Road from N.E. 21st Street to CR 100E, Glenwood Drive, Piankeshaw Drive, Ridge Road, Dogwood Drive, White Ridge Lane, Sunrise Drive, Wayside Drive, Park Road, U.S. 50E to Waller Drive. Also affected will be Industrial Drive, Commercial Drive and out to end of line at I-69.

DCH to offer immunizations

Daviess County Health Department will offer immunizations for children younger than 19 on Wednesday at Dr. Holsopple’s office from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Country Health Clinic on Cannelburg Road on May 16, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; and at Odon Community Building on May 27 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Insurance will be accepted. Children who have no health insurance or if insurance does not cover vaccines may still obtain the vaccines at the Health Department. You may call the Health Department and schedule your child for his/her immunizations. Immunizations are given daily from 7:30 to 5 p.m. at the Health Department. Call 812-254-8666 to schedule your child’s appointment.

New school requirements for 2014 school year: kindergarten students will need two doses of Hepatitis A; seniors will need a second meningitis vaccination.

South Knox MS to perform

South Knox Middle School choir department will present “Dancin’ Through the Decades” in the high school auditorium on Sunday. Doors will open at 2 p.m. and the show will begin at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 4-12, ages 3 and under are free.
