Natural Gardenersto meet

The next gathering of the Natural Gardeners Club will be on Wednesday in the Bloebaum-Fuller Annex on Seventh Street in Vincennes, across from the Knox County Public Library. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.

There will be a pitch-in dinner between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Those wanting to participate in the dinner need to bring food to share and their own beverages. Bringing one’s own place service is a sustainable option, though disposable items will be available. The meeting will start around 7 p.m.

Water Qualityreport on file

The Washington Water Department has mailed its Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for 2013. If you did not receive one, it can be obtained at the Utility Office, 101 N.E. Third St., or 2100 Memorial Ave., and at the pumping station at 3023 Cosby Road. Copies are also available on the internet at www.washingtonin.us

City Councilto meet Monday

Washington City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. Items included on the agenda: final reading of ordinance to amend code of ordinances; discuss/approve 2014-15 health insurance renewal.

The Board of Public Works and Safety will meet immediately after the Council meeting. Items in the agenda include: discussion/approval of claims, first round of sidewalk replacement applications, employee wellness program.

Pike County Boardto meet Monday

Pike County school board will meet in executive session at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The open session will be at 7 p.m.

Plan Commission to meet

Washington Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Items included on the agenda: request for J&L Home Center to rezone property at 411S 100E Bussard Road.

County Councilto meet Wednesday

Daviess County Council will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse. Items on the agenda include: ordinance authorizing issuance of revenue bonds; property tax assessment board of appeals; request for additional appropriations.
