50th Anniversary

---- — Waldens mark 50 years of marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Walden of Mitchell, formerly of Washington, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Washington Community Building on Sept. 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. It will be hosted by their children, Lorie Walden of Wildwood, Mo., Mike Walden of Crystal City, Mo., Ron Walden and Steve Walden, both of Washington.

Bryan Allen Walden and Frances Kay VanTassel were united in marriage on Sept. 7, 1963, at the Mitchell Church of Christ. Miss VanTassel was escorted down the aisle by her father, Roy VanTassel. Bro. Raymond Muncee, minister of the Fourth and Lincoln Street Church of Christ in Bloomington performed the double ring ceremony. Evelyn VanTassel (True) was her sister’s maid of honor. Sandra Steinsberger and Beverly Walden Shields (Pascual), sister of the bridegroom, were the bride’s other attendants.

The best man was Charles Robert Walden, brother of the bridegroom.

Charles Steinsberger and Fred Shields, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, served as groomsmen.

Parents of the couple are the late Roy and Elizabeth VanTassel, and the late Mason and Dorothy Walden.

All friends and family are invited to the celebration.
