Hawthorne Wedding

Adria Brianne Cox, daughter of William L. Cox Jr. of Bruceville and Danny and Lisa Sama of Washington, and Jeremy Adair Hawthorne, son of Jon and Susie Hawthorne of Washington, were joined in marriage July 20 at Christ United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ken Wells officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Nick Bowersox of Chicago and Logan Hawthorne of Washington served as best men. Groomsmen were Nate Townsend of Champaign, Ill., Jarred Stuckey of Evansville, Bravo Young of Fort Campbell, Ky, Sebastian Smigielski of Memphis, Tenn., and Andrew Obaseki of Washington.

Serving as maids of honor were Allyssa Myers and Ally Adams, both of Washington, Jaclyn Delph of Washington, Emily Worobec of Terre Haute, Rachel Van of Nashville, Tenn., Paige Hawthorne of Washington, and Kaley Decker of Vincennes.

Flower girl was Elynn Luse of Bloomfield and ring bearer was Leighton Fry of Washington. Ushers were Jace Sama, Justin Sama, both of Washington, Kevin Decker of Charleston, S.C., and Ryan Miller of Jasper.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Washington High School and a 2011 graduate of University of Southern Indiana. She is employed at Daviess Community Hospital. The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Washington High School and a 2013 graduate of Oakland City College. He is employed at Perdue Farms.

Following a wedding reception at Jasper Inn, the couple honeymooned at Sandals Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. They are at home at 403 N.E. 20th St., Washington.
