Humane Society to hold yard sale

The Martin County Humane Society will hold its annual yard sale on Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the animal shelter at 507 N. Oak Street in Loogootee, next door to Burch’s Greenhouses. There will be a $100 drawing at the conclusion of the sale. For information on how to enter, attend the sale either day. Along with the yard sale on Friday, the society will be selling roses for pick-up or delivery, $10 a dozen for pick-up between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. or $15 to have a dozen delivered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Humane Society currently has 28 dogs and 17 cats and the money raised will go toward the care and sheltering of these animals.

Eads to speak at Ark

Dr. Kathie Eads, an ordained minister with 30 years experience, will speak at 7 p.m. Saturday, with anointed worship led by Trenda Stouse at Ark of Safety Ministeries, located at 97 N. Monty Rd. Vincennes. For more information call 726-4520.

Gospel concert on Sunday

Mt. Gilead UMC Cumback area will be hosting a southern gospel concert with Judith Montgomery Ministeries on Sunday at 6 p.m. The public is invited.
