Distracted Driver program at B-R

Barr-Reeve High School will present the Distracted Driving Program from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Monday at the high school. The six-hour program features the dangers of distracted driving.

Hand reunion at Eastside Park

The 65th reunion for the descendants of William and Lucinda Hand will be held Sunday at the 4-H Building at Eastside Park, with the carry-in dinner beginning at noon.

Solid Waste board scheduled to meet

The Daviess County Solid Waste District Board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse to review the proposed 2014 budget.

DC LLC to meet Monday

The Daviess County LCC will meet for a brainstorm session at noon Monday at the Daviess County Security Center training room. Everyone who has a stake in drug prevention in Daviess County is invited. The Daviess County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition will meet immediately afterwards.

Commissioners to meet

Daviess County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse. Items included on the agenda: WestGate sewer; medical countermeasure dispensing plan; ordinance to adopt a supplement to the code of ordinances.

College night at Barr-Reeve

Barr-Reeve Middle/High School will be hosting a College Information Night for juniors, seniors and their parents at 6 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria. Guest speakers will include Daviess Community Hospital, Vincennes University, and University of Southern Indiana. Pike County Board to meet

Pike County School Corporation Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 6 p.m. Monday. The regular session will begin at 7 p.m.

The Barr-Reeve Community Schools Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 7 p.m. Monday. The regular session will begin at 8 p.m. Items included on the agenda; 2014 school budget.
