Retired teachers hold meeting

---- — The September meeting of the Daviess-Martin Retired Teachers Association was held Sept. 6 at an area restaurant. The first quarterly meeting was held to rebuild and reorganize the local chapter.

Officers selected were President Linda Strosnider; Vice President Jodi Parsons; Secretary Sue Harper; and Treasurer Martha Hart.

There was discussion concerning an outreach to area retired teachers to welcome them as members.

Sandy Wehr, from the Dubois County Retired Teachers’ Association, was the guest presenter. She spoke about the local community projects they undertake throughout the year. She also gave suggestions for enhancing membership.

Those attending were Sue Haag, Katie Myers, Bev Summers, Linda Strosnider, Jodi Parsons, Marjorie Moore Carrico, Ray Hart, Martha Hart, Bruce Hatton, Larry Harper and Sue Harper.

The next quarterly meeting will be Dec. 6.
