Council donates books to North

Thirty books for students at North Elementary School were recently donated by members of the Daviess County Community Foundation’s Youth Council in memory of former teacher, Susan Fisher Bennett.

At the presentation were (from left): Tara White, North Elementary; Lee Bennett, Susan’s husband; Elizabeth Brochin, Youth Council; Matt Fisher, Susan’s son; and Emily Lee, Youth Council.

The Foundation’s Youth Council selects philanthropic activities that enrich the quality of life for youth in Daviess County. The book collection and donation project is one of several that the youth council members will complete throughout the year.
