Ways to help others

Angel Worx

A project of Generations, Angel Worx is seeking individuals, groups, or families who would like to be an encouragement to someone who is shut-in, elderly, or disabled, through notes, phone calls and/or visits. For more information, call Kim at 295-2308 or 1-800-742-9002.

Daviess County Museum

Volunteers are sought for the Daviess County Museum to help with cleaning, sorting, filing and computer work inside the museum. This would include genealogy assistance to guests. Outside help would include cleaning up abandoned cemeteries and/or working with area schools on projects. We need someone to take on coordinating and supervising the gift shop. Persons of all ages welcome, but senior citizens should report their hours at the RSVP office. Interested persons should stop at the museum at 212 ½ E. Main St. or phone Vince Sellers, Director, at 444 9360 or email: dchistory@sbcglobal.net Museum website is www.daviesscountyhistory.net

Ladies Car Care Day

Held on the third, Saturday of February, May, August and November, at the former Odon Garage at 203 S. Spring St. in Odon (1 block south of Main St.). Donations are used to purchase supplies for oil changes and minor repairs, as well as food for refreshments and lunch served to the ladies at The Barn, 108 W. Main St. For more information on donating or assisting in other ways call 636-8269 or 636-8357.
