March Beginnings holds Nov. meeting

---- — The March Beginnings Homemakers Club met Nov. 13 at Vickie Reed’s home with Reed as hostess. Sandy York led the club in the pledge to the flag and the homemaker’s creed. Roll call was answered and the song of the month was sung. Karen Barnard read the minutes of the last meeting and York gave the treasurer’s report.

The items that everyone brought for stocking stuffers for Jubilee Christmas will be delivered to the extension office by Dec. 3. York and Barnard decorated the Community Foundation window for October.

The club will be building-a-basket for AngelWorx for the Christmas community project. The group is planning to work on blankets for Riley Hospital at its January meeting.

Shirley Henson gave “This Week in History” from Oct. 23 to Nov. 5. Some holidays during that time were Oct. 26, “Make a Difference Day; Oct. 30, National Candy Corn Day; and Nov. 3, Sandwich Day.

Barnard won the hostess gift by winning a game that Reed had prepared. York and Henson received gifts from their secret pals. Also attending the meeting was Stephanie Eagen.

The next meeting will be the Christmas outing on Dec. 10.

The group will meet at Reed’s home at 10:30 a.m. Christmas gift for secret pals will be exchanged and new secret pals drawn for next year. The meeting was dismissed with the prayer song.

After the meeting, 20 bags were prepared to be taken to the extension office for the Holiday Gift Lift.
