---- — Bake sale at Eagles

There will be a craft, bake and rummage sale at the Eagles, 500 E. Main St., beginning at 10 a.m., Dec. 7.

Celebration Singers in Loogootee

The Celebration Singers Community Choir will perform Joseph Martin’s Advent cantata, “Appalachian Winter,” at Loogootee Methodist Church, 208 W. Main Street, at 4 p.m. on Dec. 8th.

The program is open to the public. No admission fee will be charged, but a freewill offering will be collected.

Featuring more than 100 members, the Celebration Singers Community Choir was organized in 2002 and is comprised of musicians from Dubois, Spencer, Martin and Pike counties.

Cookie Walk on Friday

The Annual Helping Hearts Hospice Cookie Walk will be held Friday at Daviess Community Hospital in the Education Rooms. Cookies will be available from 8 a.m. until noon or until sold out.

Proceeds for the cookie walk will be used to benefit hospice patients and families through various means.

Cookie donations will be accepted at the hospice office (corner of 14th and Memorial streets) beginning Wednesday. Donated cookies will also be picked up if necessary. Call 254-8950 for more information.
