VFW to hold party for children

The Cissell-Jackman VFW Post 3321, 3 E. Main St., Christmas party for children and grandchildren of members has been rescheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Pleasantview School to hold journey

Pleasantview Christian School’s “mini” Journey to Bethlehem will be at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 17 and 18. Refreshments will be available. Call Julie at 486-7382 to reserve your free ticket.

ND Board meeting slated for Monday

North Daviess Community school board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Items included on the agenda: library board appointment; insurance changes; 2014-2015 school calendar.

DCH support group to meet

Daviess Community Hospital’s Families Facing Cancer support group will meet from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at at the hospital.

Ark to host Clark Ministries

Ark of Safety Ministries will be hosting the anointed ministry of Tim and Dawn Clark of Carlisle on Saturday at 7 p.m. Teaching of the word and worship led by Trenda Stouse. Ark of Safety Ministeries is located at 97 N. Monty Rd. Vincennes.

Relay vendor fair

There will be a Relay For Life vendor fair fund raiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Christian Church. Admission is $1.

20th Century Car Club collecting toys

20th Century Car Club is collecting new or gently used toys. (No used stuffed animals please.)

They have collection boxes at the Auto Clinic, Central Fire Station, and Westgate Apartments. They are also taking cash donations.

Cash donations to Brotherhood Charities which are tax deductible will be given to the club for this project. Their address is P.O. Box 371, Washington.

Gospel singers coming to Wheatland

The Southern Indiana Neighbors Gospel Sing will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Wesleyan Church, 240 N. Green St., Wheatland. The featured group is the “Circle of Friends.” For more information, call 257-7992.
