Applications now being accepted for Derek Ray Arvin Memorial scholarship

---- — The Derek Ray Arvin Memorial endowment fund held with the Daviess County Community Foundation is making scholarship awards available to graduating seniors of Washington High School.

Established by the families of Derek Ray Arvin and funded by local donors, this is the first year the fund will begin awarding annual scholarships.

Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. They must also be an active member of a house of worship, a member of at least one varsity level IHSSA sport, and active in at least one extracurricular activity other than sports (e.g. Beta Club, Student Council, French Club, etc.).

The deadline for applications is Feb. 1, 2014.
