Scholarship applications sought

---- — The William and Mary Summers Memorial endowment fund held with the Daviess County Community Foundation is making a scholarship award available to graduating seniors of Washington High School planning full-time enrollment at Vincennes University.

The annual scholarship award was established by William E. Summers and the late Phillip M. Summers and in memory of their parents. Although preference will be given to students majoring in Business or Education, applications will be accepted from students majoring in any subject. The award amount is $500.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 1, 2014.

The Peoples Bank/German American Bancorp Scholarship endowment fund held with the Daviess County Community Foundation is making a scholarship available to graduating seniors of any Daviess County high School with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must be planning to major in a business related course of study at any accredited college or university.

The award amount for the annual scholarship established by the Peoples National Bank in Washington is $500.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 1, 2014.
