1 dozen hard boiled eggs
Pinch of dry mustard
Salt (to taste)
12 green olives w/pimentos, cut in half
Red food coloring
Cut boiled eggs in half, lengthwise. Scoop yolks into a bowl and set the whites aside. Mash the yolks with a fork and mix in mayo, onion powder, mustard and salt to make a smooth paste. Place about a teaspoon of yolk mixture into each egg white and place an olive half in the center so it looks like an eyeball. For a finishing touch, dip a toothpick in red food coloring and draw bloodshot veins onto each eyeball.
Make chocolate cupcakes as usual. Use Halloween-themed liners for fun. When cooled, frost generously with chocolate frosting. Dip tops into chocolate sprinkles to make spider body look fuzzy. Cut eight 4-inch legs from black string licorice and stick four on each side of a cupcake, bending them in half to look more realistic. Cut mini marshmallows in half and stick two on each cupcake to make eyes. Using a bit of frosting as glue, affix a cinnamon (red hot) candy to each marshmallow.
