The Board of Commis-sioners of Daviess County will receive sealed bids until 9:00 a.m., E.D.T., on June 9, 2008 at the Daviess County Auditor’s Office at the Courthouse, Washington, Indiana 47501, for paving various county roads and supplying asphalt emulsions for 2008. The bids will be opened in the Commis-sioners’ meeting.
Bidders shall submit unit price for the approximate quantities indicated on the detailed specifica-tions.
Complete detailed specifications are available at the Daviess County Highway Department office located at 5247 E 100 N, Montgomery, IN 47558.
Form #96, along with the non collusion affidavit executed and notarized must be completed and submitted by all bidders along with a certified check or bid bond equal to (10) ten percent of the bid.
The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to (100%) one hundred percent of the contract price. The surety on the performance bond cannot be released for (1) one year.
A payment bond will be required to snsure payment of material supplied to the bidder. This bond is executed by the bidder to Daviess County in an amount equal to the contract price, and its surety cannot be released for one year after final settlement with bidder.
A non-collusion affidavit executed and notarized by all bidders along with a certified check or bid bond equal to (10) ten percent of the bid shall be submitted when bidding asphalt emulsions.
Contractor’s Compre-hensive Liability insurance, Comprehensive Automo-bile Liability insurance, and Owner’s and Contractor’s Protective Liability insurance will be provided in the amounts and limits set in the detailed specifica-tions.
The bidder shall indemnify, defend, exculpate, and hold harmless Daviess County as outlined in the “Responsibility for damage claims” section of the detailed specifica-tions.
As per I.C. 5-16-7, the Common Construction Wage scale for this project was determined. A copy of this determination will be available at the Daviess County Highway Depart-ment.
