NOTICE OF APPLICATION

Permit #S-270

Solar Sources, Inc.; P. O. Box 7; Petersburg, IN 47567, has filed an application for the Midway II Mine to renew the permit for another five years. The mine is located approximately two miles south and west of Cannelburg, Indiana and is legally described as follows: In T3N, R5W - part of the SW 1⁄4 of Sec. 31. In T2N, R5W - part of the NW1⁄4 of Sec. 5; the NW1⁄4, the SW1⁄4, parts of the NE1⁄4 and SE1⁄4 of Sec. 6; parts of the NW1/4 and the NE1⁄4 of Section 7. This permit is located on the Glendale, Montgomery and Loogoo-tee U.S.G.S. quadrangle maps and it lies in Daviess County.

Landowners upon which this renewal applies are: L. & G. Graber, E. Cox, R. Christmas, C. Bennington, C. Wittmer, G. Rose II, L. & M. Graber, W.T. Price, B. Taylor, M. Wade, M. Knepp, A. Duncheon, R., S., & J. McCracken, J. Sims and J. Yoder.

Operations will be conducted within 100 feet of the right-of-way of Daviess County Roads: 100S, 120S, 800E and 900E. Additionally, operations may be conducted through portions of Daviess County Road 120S pending County Commissioner’s approval.

Copies of the application for revision are on file at the Division of Recla-mation, Jasonville, IN and the Carnegie Public Library, Washington, IN.

Written comments, objections, and/or requests for a permit conference must be filed with the Division of Reclamation within 30 days of the final weekly publication of this notice and must reference the above listed application number.
