Meeting to be held for changing of zoning boundaries

WASHINGTON — Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commission of the City of Washington on the 14th day of March, 2012, at 7:00 P.M., in the City Council Chambers of the City of Washington, County of Daviess, State of Indiana, will hold a public hearing to discuss changing the zoning boundaries for the two (2) mile area for the City of Washington.  The proposed new extra-territorial jurisdiction legal description will be as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of U.S. Hwy. 50 Bypass and the West Fork of the White River in Daviess County, Indiana; thence Southerly, Southeasterly and Southwesterly, along the West Fork of the White River, to the south boundary of the North Half of Section 6, Township 2 North, Range 7 West; thence Easterly to the northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 6; thence Southerly to the southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 6; thence Easterly to the northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 6; thence Southerly to the southwest corner of said quarter- quarter section; thence Easterly to the southwest corner of Section 5, Township 2 North, Range 7 West; thence Easterly to the northwest corner of Section 9, Township 2 North, Range 7 West; thence Southerly, along the centerline of County Road 300 West, to the north boundary of Section 20, Township 2 North, Range 7 West; thence Westerly to the northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 2 North, Range 7 West; thence Westerly, along the north boundary of said quarter section, to the centerline of Prairie Creek; thence Southerly, along the centerline of Prairie Creek, to the West Fork of the White River; thence Southerly, along the West Fork of the White River, to the place of beginning.

Written objections to the proposal may be filed by the public with the Secretary of the City of Washington Plan Commis-sion, 2113 Memorial Avenue, in Washington, Daviess County, State of Indiana. Any such objections filed with the Secretary prior to the hearing will be considered and oral comments concerning the proposal will be heard at the public hearing.

Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.
