A drunk driver ran a pickup truck through a Main Street building early this morning. Jeffery A. Mayhorn II, 28, 203N 300W, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet 3/4 ton pickup west on Main Street at 3:11 a.m. and went off the north side of the road, hitting Talk of the Town at 308 E. Main St. The truck came to rest in the display window. A witness said Mayhorn tried to leave the scene of the accident. Officers notified the business owner, as well as Dr. Frank Bowling, who owns the building. Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000. Mayhorn was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent.
