Davis leaving Times-Herald

— Washington Times-Herald Advertising Director Robbie Davis has accepted the position of publisher at the Woodward (Okla.) News, another CNHI newspaper. She will start there on May 12. The Times-Herald staff held a congratulatory dinner for her Monday.
The move will accomplish a goal Davis said she’s had throughout her 20 years in the newspaper business. She has been advertising director at the Times-Herald for four years and said her time with the local newspaper has been some of the best experiences in her career.
“I have learned more about running a newspaper at the Washington Times-Herald than ever before ... because the employees (in each department) work more as a team,” she said.
Times-Herald publisher Ron Smith congratulated Davis on her promotion.
“She’s done an excellent job at the newspaper and parlayed that into a promotion within the company,” he said. “She’s done a fine job at the Washington Times-Herald, and I wish her the best in the future.”
