William J. Graber, 67, was getting ready to cut hay Saturday when he was trampled by the horse he was using, according to a family friend. Graber was pronounced dead at 1:40 p.m. Sunday at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

ODON — An Odon man died Sunday after being trampled by a horse Saturday.

William J. Graber, 67, was getting ready to cut hay Saturday when he was trampled by the horse he was using, according to a family friend. Graber was pronounced dead at 1:40 p.m. Sunday at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

On Saturday, the sheriff’s department received a call at 2:15 p.m. reporting a man had been kicked in the head by a horse at 10216E 1000N. Graber was taken to Daviess Community Hospital, according to the call log, and then taken to Evansville by Air Evac.

Graber was a part-time farmer and worked at Graber Millworks, which is owned by his sons. Graber is survived by his wife, Susie, and seven children.
