An Odon teen who was badly burned in late June is recovering well at Riley’s Children Hospital in Indianapolis, according to his mother.
Betty Craig said her son Tyson “is a lot better. He’s doing really good.”
She said Tyson was alert and speaking.
“We’re pleased with everything,” she said.
Tyson Craig would like to see visitors this weekend, she said. Visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Riley, she added. However, she requested no visitors after Sunday since Tyson will receive final grafting starting next week. She also said there was no definite discharge date for Tyson.
Tyson’ sister, Emily Rady, said Tyson can receive cards and mylar balloons (no latex) at the hospital’s address: 702 Barnhill Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Tyson is in room No. 2965.
Tyson was burned on the arms, chest and face when a fire broke out on the engine of a car he was working on in Odon on June 23.
