Gov. Mitch Daniels yearly charity motorcycle ride will make Washington its last stop this year. The a two-day escorted ride will go through scenic southern Indiana to benefit the National Guard Relief Fund. After departing the State House, the ride will make stops in Spencer, Bloomington, Shoals, French Lick, Jasper and finally Washington.
This is a free ride though bikers are encouraged to make a donation that will benefit the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund. The first segment will end at 5:30 p.m. Friday in French Lick.
This event will take place rain or shine.
Friday’s ride will also include a brief stop at the Owen County Courthouse in Spencer at about 11:30 a.m. and a lunch stop at Harley-Davidson of Bloomington in Bloomington and a brief stop at Bo Macs Drive Inn in Shoals at about 4 p.m., before continuing on to the French Lick Springs Hotel.
Saturday’s ride begins at French Lick at 10 a.m. and includes a stop at 11 a.m. at the Dubois County Courthouse in Jasper before the final stop at the Williams Farm, 7312S 250E in Washington. Lunch will be served and the ride proceeds will be presented to the Indiana National Guard.
Sponsors of the ride include ABATE of Indiana, Harley-Davidson of Bloomington, Hoefling Lawn & Cycle and Steel Horse.
