Windy City Thanksgiving for Schuetzes

By Mint Barber, T-H Correspondent

The 2008 McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade marks the 75th anniversary of holiday tradition in the city of Chicago. It will be broadcast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. (CST) Thanksgiving. Viewers can tune into WGN or Channel 239 on satellite. This is one of only two parades to be broadcast on Thanksgiving Day, the other being the Macy’s Parade.

The Chicago parade boasts gigantic balloons, beautiful floats, 24 high school bands along with several different equestrian units.

Wayne and Joan welcome visitors to the miniature donkey farm they own outside Washington. Questions can be sent to them via e-mail at continentalfarm@yahoo.com.
