CITY REPORT

Tuesday

2:19 p.m. — A female caller reported someone burning leaves on North and N.W. 15th streets. The fire department was called.

10:58 a.m. — A male caller said the warning lights at the SR 57 railroad crossing were flashing. CSX was called.

Monday

3:24 p.m. — Anderson Niece, 1000 S. Meridian St., Apt. 20, reported someone vandalized his truck while parked the night before. A report was made.

COUNTY REPORT

Tuesday

12:54 a.m. — A caller reported a maroon van in a ditch near CRs 900E and 400S. A male was taken into custody following an investigation.

Monday

6:39 p.m. — A caller reported a white Pontiac driving north on SR 257 with hazard lights on about 35 miles an hour. Deputies found the vehicle had a cut tire and was trying to ease it to their destination.

3:21 p.m. — A male caller reported an accident without injuries on CR 200E. A minor accident report was made.

ARRESTS

Sean Plake, 36, Velpen, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday for driving while suspended with a prior conviction. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $2,000 bond.

KNOX COUNTY ARREST

Cheryl R. Bilskie, 51, Vincennes, was arrested late Monday evening by Edwardsport Town Marshals on preliminary charges of fleeing, driving under the influence of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and possession of materials to manufacture methamphetamine.

Bilskie was originally stopped for traffic violations, then tried to evade Marshal Ryan Johanningsmeier through the town. The Indiana State Police assisted in the arrest.  Bilskie is being held in the Knox County Security Center.
