Monday

12:34 p.m. - A Daviess County Security Center inmate reported a breaking-and-entering at 1104 E. Main St. The people in the house were allowed in by a roommate.

9:38 a.m. - Rick Flynn, 601 Sunset Ave., reported a tire to his car was slashed. Flynn said another car had a slashed tire on the street.

Sunday

5:02 p.m. - Jordan King said his wallet was stolen from his vehicle while parked at Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza.

1:31 p.m. - An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, reported a person trespassing on the property. The male was arrested.

3:28 a.m. - An employee of Hardee’s, 200 E. Nat’l Hwy., said a male was walking around the drive-thru window. The male was staying at a hotel across the street and was trying to order food. The male was told the person could not walk up to the window.

Saturday

6:46 p.m. - A male caller reported a fire at N.W. 17th and Vine streets. Firefighters found a small campfire and it was extinguished.

4:41 p.m. - Multiple callers reported a power outage near E. National Highway near Jamestown Square. Traffic lights to the I-69 interchange were also out. A line crew was called and power was restored by 5:39 p.m.

6:21 a.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s, 201 N.E. Fifth St., reported a drive-off worth $25 by a black Ford F-150 truck.

6:14 a.m. - Jessica Reyes reported a vehicle stolen on Bent Avenue. No other information was available.

Friday

6:14 p.m. - An employee of Fast Max, 1202 E. Nat’l Hwy., reported a drive-off worth $30 in gas.

4:02 p.m. - An employee of Walmart, 100 Bypass 50 Plaza, said a shoplifter with a service dog was in the electronics section. The shoplifter and the dog were escorted out of the store and charges are being filed.

Sunday

8:39 p.m. - A caller reported an accident without injuries on CR 650E between CRs 600N and 750N. A utility pole was broken and REMC was contacted. Two citations were issued and an accident report is being completed.

4:06 p.m. - A caller reported a large straw bale in the road at CR 800E near CR 500S. County highway was contacted.

3:12 p.m. - A male caller reported a child was missing at 1518 Fox Run Drive. The child was found underneath a bed a few minutes later.

11:51 a.m. - A caller advised cows are out near 11792E 1325N. The owner of the cows was contacted.

Saturday

7:53 p.m. - A caller reported a break-in at 220 S. Main St., Cannelburg. Nothing was reported missing.

11:26 a.m. - A caller reported a slide-off on CRs 400N and 650E. The vehicle was removed. Five other slide-offs or minor accidents were reported.

11:06 a.m. - A caller reported an accident with injuries at CR 800N, a half-mile east of CR 1000E. Two people refused medical treatment at the scene and an accident report is being completed.

10:55 a.m. - A caller reported an accident without injuries on CRs 100W and 140N. An accident report is being completed.

12:54 a.m. - A caller said a few individuals were throwing ice/snow balls onto I-69 near the SR 58 interchange. No one was found when deputies arrived.

Friday

2:34 p.m. - A caller reported an accident without injuries near 12977N 800E. A minor accident report was completed. Ten other accidents and slide-offs were reported to dispatchers.

2:19 p.m. - A caller reported an accident without injuries on SR 257 near Seven Curves. An accident report is being completed.

2:03 p.m. - A caller reported an accident on Sunnyside Road. One person refused medical treatment and an accident report is being completed.

COUNTY ACCIDENTS

Monday

10:18 a.m. - Ronald H. Gee, 69 Odon, was driving a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country south on SR 57 and was attempting to make a turn on Ohio Street when the van was hit from behind by a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Jorrin J. Nolan, 19, 5234S 50W. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.

Sunday

8:39 p.m. - Alva W. Raber, 25, 1276E 250N, was driving a 1997 Dodge Ram truck north on CR 650E when the truck slid off the road, hitting a utility pole. The pole was snapped in two. There were no injuries, but Raber was cited for having false or ficticious plates and operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.

ARRESTS

Carleen Mize, 25, Washington, was arrested by city police Friday on a warrant for theft and receiving stolen property. She was released from the Daviess County Security Center on $2,500 bond.

Nathaniel C. Long, 29, Washington, was arrested by city police Friday on a failure to appear warrant. He was released on $2,500 bond.

Richard L. Mathis, 49, Washington, was arrested by city police Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was released on $4,000 bond.

Jade L. Sorrells, 45, Washington, was arrested by city police Saturday on a failure to appear warrant. She was released on $2,000 bond.

Melissa D. Craig, 26, Washington, was arrested by city police Saturday on a failure to appear warrant. She was being held on $2,500 bond.

Mitchell D. Sherman, 26, Washington, was arrested by city police Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was released on $2,000 bond.

Shelli K. Abbott, 50, Otwell, was arrested by city police Sunday for possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. She was released on $2,500 bond.

Jonathon M. Kay, 19, Odon, was arrested by city police Sunday for criminal trespassing. He was being held without bond.

Matthew L Warne, 26, Montgomery, was arrested by city police Sunday on a warrant for two counts of defrauding a financial institution, three counts of theft, a count of receiving stolen property, a count of forgery, a new charge of driving while suspended with a prior arrest and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was being held without bond.
