---- — North Daviess Elementary will begin its kindergarten round-up for the 2014-2015 kindergarten classes. Any student is eligible to attend kindergarten who will be at least 5 years old before Aug. 1, 2014. The round-up will be available over a five-day period: Monday (Feb. 24) through Friday (Feb. 28) from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Please contact NDE for a registration appointment at 636-8000 Ext. 2000.
During your child’s registration appointment, your child will participate in a 30-45 minute screening. He/she will work with our staff reviewing basic readiness skills during this time. This screening gives us a baseline score that will be used to monitor student progress throughout the year.
Please be sure to bring the child, the child’s immunization record, and the child’s birth certificate. Indiana law requires children entering school to have the following immunizations: two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine (Hep A), five D.P.T, four polio, two doses of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), three doses of hepatitis B vaccine, and two doses of the Varicella vaccine (or physician-written documentation of chickenpox history including month and year of disease).
All of our kindergarten students go all day, every day. It is important that all 2014-15 kindergarten students make an appointment to preregister. Call the school at 636-8000 Ext. 2000 to schedule your child’s registration appointment.
