2:12 p.m. - Joe Johnson, 403 Ogdon St., said a padlock was thrown through the passenger side window of his truck, also damaging his windshield. Extra patrol was given.

5:53 a.m. - A female caller reported items taken from a residence on W. Walnut Street. Suspects were named.


9:46 p.m. - Daviess County Sheriff’s dispatchers received a call of a semi in a ditch on Clark and Cosby roads. The semi was towed out.

9 p.m. - Diane Sheetz, 612 Jefferson St., reported a breaking-and-entering. Medication was taken.

6:44 p.m. - An employee of Hometown IGA, 900 W. Nat’l Hwy., reported a shoplifter. The person was taken into custody on unrelated warrants.

5:13 p.m. - Mary Smith, 300S 100E, reported a picture and frame taken.



3:24 p.m. - A caller reported an accident without injuries on First Street in Montgomery. An accident report is being completed. Five other minor accidents were reported to dispatchers.

4:42 a.m. - A caller reported a driver in a silver truck was looking lost. on U.S. 50 and CR 800E. One male was taken into custody.



5:23 p.m. - Bartt Cox, 30, 610 S.W. Fifth St., was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix east on U.S. 50 near CR 300W when a patch of ice caused the vehicle to slip across the road, a median and the westbound lanes and into a ditch. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.


Christopher Clark, 36, Washington, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Monday on a failure to appear warrant for two counts of domestic battery, battery resulting in bodily injury, resisting law enforcement and two counts of criminal mischief.

He was released from the Daviess County Security Center on $2,500 bond.

Dennis Robbins, 29, Washington, was arrested by city police Monday on a warrant for theft and fraud and a new charged of theft.

He was being held without bond.

Cody Stephens, 29, Valdosta, Ga., was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

He was released on $2,000 bond.
