Rollins named employee of the year

---- — Denise L. Rollins was recently chosen by fellow employees of The First National Bank of Odon as the 2013 Employee of the Year. The announcement was made at the bank’s Christmas party held Dec. 9 at the Community and Senior Citizens Center in Odon.

The Employee of the Year award was initiated by The First National Bank of Odon in 1991.

The criteria for this award are based on knowledge and fulfillment of responsibilities, contribution to the whole organization, activities outside the bank and overall spirit of cooperation.

Denise has the distinction of being a multiple recipient of this award; being chosen as Employee of the Year in both 1997 and 2013.

Denise joined First National Bank of Odon on March 1, 1982, while a student at North Daviess Jr./Sr. High School in the intensive office lab program. She became a full time teller following graduation from high school and was reassigned to the loan department in November 1988.

Denise transferred to the bookkeeping department in February of 2001 and in March of 2010 was appointed investment and correspondent bank accounting manager.

Denise was presented with a monetary gift and her name was added to the plaque which is currently on display in the main office lobby at 501 West Main Street in Odon.

Years of Service and Recognition pins were also presented to the following officers and employees in recognition and appreciation of their outstanding leadership, contributions and dedication to the First National Bank of Odon:

40 Years: Joe M. Dearmin, former president and CEO and currently chairman of the board of directors

20 Years: Diana K. Bradley, loan secretary

5 Years: Amanda M. Fuqua, teller and Tiffany D. Wintergerst, teller

2013 New Hire: Amber E. Brock, part-time teller
