Holiday closings

WASHINGTON — The following are area closings for the Christmas holiday:

*PACE Community Action Agency will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*City of Washington offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday. There will be no trash pickup, and the city bus will not run. Residents with trash pick up on Monday are asked to have their trash ready for pick up by 7 a.m. Friday. Residents with trash pickup on Tuesday are asked to have their trash ready for pickup by 7 a.m. Wednesday. The recycling center will also be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*The city of Plainville will pick up trash on Wednesday and not today.

*Daviess County Family Y.M.C.A. will be closed Tuesday.

*The Daviess County Courthouse and Highway Department will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*Senior and Family Services will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Office and Visitor’s Bureau will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*Economic Development Corp. will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*Washington Carnegie Public Library will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*U.S. Postal Service will be closed Tuesday.

*The license branch will be closed Tuesday.

*Retired Senior Volunteer Program offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*Indiana Workforce Development Center will be closed from Dec. 21 through Jan 2.

*Daviess County Landfill will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*The Washington Times Herald office will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*Ride Solution will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

*The Odon Winklepleck Public Library will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday for Christmas.

*The Daviess County Museum will be closed next week except by appointment. Museum staff will be on vacation Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. People wishing to visit the museum Dec. 26, 27, 28 or 29 should call Vince Sellers at 812-444-9360.

*The St. Vincent de Paul Society store will be closed from noon Saturday and will reopen Jan. 2, 2013. The assistance line will be closed from Friday through Jan. 7, 2013.

*Daviess Community Hospital’s Quick Care Clinic, located at 1805 SR 57 South in Washington, will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Quick Care will be closed on Christmas Day.

*All other Daviess Community Hospital-owned medical clinics, including provider offices in the DCH Medical Clinic in Washington, the North Daviess Medical Clinic in Odon, the Daviess-Martin Medical Clinic in Loogootee, and Dr. Thorne’s and Dr. Morgan’s Orthopedic Clinics will be closed at noon on Christmas Eve and all day on Christmas Day.
