PETERSBURG —

A Pike County man pleaded guilty to manufacturing methamphetamine, a Class B felony, and was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years at the Wabash Valley Regional Community Corrections Center in Vincennes.

Billy Joe Moore was arrested Dec. 14, 2012, after officers of the Pike County Special Response Team served a warrant issued by the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office. The warrant was served on an address where Moore was reported to be making meth. He was located there with numerous ingredients and items associated with meth production.

Moore pleaded guilty to the meth-making charge in Pike County Circuit Court on Jan. 28.

At the community corrections facility, Moore will be released daily to work and will be required to pay for the costs of his incarceration. Under Indiana law, he may receive credit time for good behavior and can be released in less than 10 years.
